Involuntary Resettlement: Basic Concepts


The training on Involuntary Resettlement was held from September 22 to 25, 2015 at the Audio-Visual Room of UP National Engineering Center (UP NEC).

A total of fifty-one (51) trainees participated. Three (3) participants also served as resource persons. They presented case studies on Oplan Likas, WB IPOPs, Manila Wastewater Management Project, and Mt. Apo Geothermal Project.

The participants were predominantly practicing environmental and social safeguard specialists and project staff from implementing units of government and private agencies involved in WB projects, from local government units, and from the academe. More than 50% of the participants have graduate degrees (master’s degree or doctoral degrees).
