Delightful to share the recap of our first ever webinar series!
The Philippine Learning Center for Environment and Social Sustainability (PHILCESS) successfully conducted a Webinar Series on Environmental and Social Management of Construction last November 2020.
Piloting the center’s approach to blended learning, the webinar series came in four sessions, every Friday of November. Highlighting four topics with a 2-hour session dedicated to each topic: (1) Managing Environmental and Social Impacts During Construction, Loans (2) Tenders, Contracts, & Evaluation (3) Introduction to Risk Assessment, and (4) Inspection, Audit, Monitoring, and Reporting. Discussions lead by a pool of resource speakers from the development partners, professionals in the environmental engineering field and the academe. Participants also had six-months access to added resource materials & recording of sessions, and a Certificate of Completion by the end of the program.
With 31 participants from different parts of the world, the event was attended by groups and individuals from different backgrounds –Development Banks, Local Government Units (LGUs), Consulting Firms, Academe, and Program Management Specialists to name a few. From six different countries, Australia, China, Niue, Federated State of Micronesia, Philippines, and Tonga.
PHILCESS will be conducting more online training programs in 2022 to make them more accessible amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic.
